Subj: Currency conversion notice of appearance for Visa

Dear Mr. Brosnahan,

Thank you for sending me your notice of appearance for Defendants-Appellees Visa U.S.A. Inc. and Visa International Service Association that you are filing in the 2nd Circuit.
I do not know what it is possible for the defendants to raise in the appeal or what you will raise in the appeal on their behalf, if anything.

I filed this letter of objection in 2007. I have no idea whether Judge Pauley read my letter or if he had any thoughts about my letter.Based on personal experience in this case and others (see, e.g. Papadakis v Northwestern Mutual Life ), I believe this is a closed legal system in which the judges and the lawyers are out of touch with economics, business ethics and genuine justice.

Because of my belief about the closed nature of the legal system, as exemplified by this case, I am availing of the upcoming 2010 elections to go outside the legal system, which you may learn about here in my blog. I hope to hold up the currency conversion fee litigation as a case in point for my criticism.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Robert Shattuck
